Celebrating the Earth & Seasons

Solstice 2025 - Made with PosterMyWall.jpg

At St. Paul’s, we gather at the turning points of the year —moments when light shifts, seasons change, and something within us quietly responds. The solstices and equinoxes mark these thresholds in the natural world: times of balance, of lengthening light or deepening darkness, of emergence, harvest, rest, and renewal.

Across cultures and throughout history, people have paused at these seasonal moments to reflect, to give thanks, and to begin again. In that same spirit, our gatherings are simple, contemplative, and open to all—offering space not for doctrine, but for awareness, intention, and connection.

Through candlelight, music, quiet reflection, and symbolic practices such as labyrinth walking, elemental stations, and seasonal rituals like seed planting—and, in the deep of winter, the lighting of a shared fire bowl—we invite one another to notice what is changing, both in the world around us and within our own lives. In that flame, there is space to release what has been carried, to name what is ending, and to welcome the returning light with intention and hope. These are moments to consider what we are ready to release, what is beginning to take root, and how we might walk more intentionally into the season ahead.

As this offering continues to grow, we look forward to exploring additional earth-centered and seasonal gatherings—honoring not only the solstices and equinoxes, but other meaningful moments that invite reflection, connection, and renewal.

All are welcome—of any faith, tradition, or none at all—to join in honoring the rhythms of the earth and the shared human experience of living within them.
